Ferocious king cobra caught in restaurant after going in search of food
A ferocious king cobra was caught after rampaging through a restaurant.
Shocked staff called for help when the reptile emerged in a store room in Chonburi, southern Thailand.
The 12ft long venomous reptile then slithered into the dining area and hid under a pile of stools on May 26.
Building owner Sontaya Nilcuha, 62, said he and his family preparing to open when he saw the dark shadow moving in the room.
He sad: ”I thought it was a bird and wanted to chase it away but when I approached it I saw clearer that it was a snake and I ran out before I even knew what species was it.”
Rescue worker Suwit Sriwattanakul added that the snake was aggressive while it was being caught due to either the hot weather or it being hungry.
Suwit said: “The snake was very moody, so we think it might have come into the building looking for food or just needed shade from the sun.
