Iconic Firefighter From Disney Tribute Has Tested Positive

This art piece was created back in 1993 for National firefighters day as a part of the Disney company’s tribute to firefighters.Credit: DisneyKeeping Fire Captain Dave Baker In Our ThoughtsThe man featured in the poster is Anaheim Fire Captain Dave Baker, who had been a part of the Disney firefighters tribute back when he was just beginning in his career.According to CBS Los Angeles, Dave Baker along with six other Anaheim Fire and Rescue members have recently tested positive for COVID-19. Four of them have since recovered, one is currently self isolating and two (including Dave Baker) are hospitalized. Due to complications, Baker has been put on a ventilator.Our thoughts are with his family at this horrible time and we are sending positive vibes for a smooth recovery.Credit: ANAHEIM (CBSLA)Officials Are Still Unsure Of The OriginOfficials still aren’t sure how this group of firefighters contracted COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus.“We believe the first original case was related to exposure on a call serving our community,” said Anaheim City Spokesperson Mike Lyster. “That is just the nature of coronavirus and risk of exposure that we might all encounter in our daily lives. Our stations are regularly disinfected. We go through health screening checks for our firefighters and paramedics up to three times a day.”Credit: ANAHEIM (CBSLA)Attempts To Slow The SpreadAccording to CBS Los Angeles, Orange County has seen a total of 8,269 cumulative cases and 217 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.The Anaheim Fire and Rescue department continues to encourage everyone in the community to wear masks when they’re out in public and practice physical distancing.
