$15,100 grant helps desex 139 South Canterbury cats and kittens

SuppliedPete and Pearl have been desexed as part of a collaboration between Street Cats South Canterbury and the SPCA.A $15,100 donation has stopped more than 280,000 unwanted kittens from being born in South Canterbury over the next four years, the head of a cat rescue group says. The SPCA answered Street Cats South Canterbury’s call for help to desex the cats and kittens in its care after the Covid-19 lockdown stifled its fundraising efforts.
