Native plant sale to help Wellington’s rescued feathered friends
The Bird Rehabilitation TrustThe Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust is a privately funded charity, specialising in water birds, and tending to more than 400 birds a year, from the orphaned, sick, and injured, to casualties of diesel, oil, tar, and paint spills.Nestled in the hills of Wellington’s rural Ohariu Valley is plant nursery Feathers and Flora. Within, more than 30,000 native, non-native, and fruiting plants have been nurtured by onsite horticulturalist Warren Kerruish and a team of dedicated volunteers.
